Pharmacy Collaboration to Address Healthcare Inequity

This project combines high-impact elements of academic exchange with student group research projects. These research projects will take place during exchange activities and will focus on how healthcare inequity can be addressed through the efforts of pharmacy professionals. Pharmacy is an underrepresented field in study abroad, primarily because the PharmD is a professional degree in the U.S, whereas in Colombia and most of the world, pharmacy is an undergraduate degree. Embedding global perspectives into pharmacy education will allow professionals to better serve diverse and disadvantaged populations affected by lack of access to quality healthcare.
