Closing the Gender-Gap in the Americas: New Methodologies and Curriculum for Action-Research and Social Change

In celebration of International Women’s Month, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on a 100K Strong project developed by women and that aims to foster sustainable collaboration among Boise State University (Idaho, USA), Universidad Cientifica del Sur (Lima, Peru) and Universidad Tecnológica Privada de Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz, Bolivia).

Faculty and administrators from these institutions have joined forces to enhance college curricula by integrating global and regional issues, guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). With a specific emphasis on UNSDG #5: promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls, the project aims to bridge gender disparities across local, regional, and global contexts. Through innovative curriculum design and teaching methodologies, these visionary partners are paving the way for a network of scholars dedicated to instilling global perspectives in higher education, equipping students for impactful action research, and catalyzing societal transformation.
