Closing the Gender-Gap in the Americas: New Methodologies and Curriculum for Action-Research and Social Change
This program proposes sustainable cooperation between three universities located in Bolivia, Peru and the U.S. Faculty and administrators from the three universities will work on curriculum design and innovative teaching methodologies for infusing global and regional issues into college curricula, while using the United National Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) as a reference. Specifically, the program will focus on UNSDG #5, which works to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. By connecting gender inequality with local, regional, and global perspectives, the partners will collaborate in designing curricula and innovative teaching methodologies. This project will ultimately help create a network of scholars who are interested in infusing global perspectives into college curricula, preparing students for action research and advancing social change.
