The partnering institutions of Fundación Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano (UTADEO) and Arizona State University (ASU) will conduct an international exchange research-creation program for students to advance and develop tools and skills that support the implementation of regional material cultures in Colombia as a way to emerge new creative cultural industries. Students from UTADEO will participate in a full-time research-creation internship at ASU, while ASU students participate in a full-time research-creation practicum at UTADEO. ASU students will partake in field work in Cartagena applying the Autonomous Design methodology with selected local indigenous communities.
