The Collaborative to Develop Climate Education Capacity

This project between the University of Texas at Tyler and Universidad Nacional de Comahue leverages current collaborations in climate education by utilizing the NASA International GLOBE Program to develop Climate Action Projects (CAPs) to better understand climate science. Faculty and students participating in the exchange program will develop CAPs whose results can be communicated to school students of all ages and citizens using an open science project-based learning model.  Students, through the process of PBL, will develop their own climate investigations and learn to communicate the results and recommendations for action. CAPs will align with the Year of Climate and Carbon to leverage international initiatives. Students will also disseminate their results through the International Virtual Science Symposium, the GLOBE Research ad Education Repository, and online and in person conferences and webinars.
